While many mountain enthusiasts aspire to conquer Everest, our dream takes a different path. Rather than seeking conquest, we aim to preserve these majestic peaks in their pristine state, untouched by human ambition.
RVRT was born from a radical notion: to rid the Himalayas of the debris left behind by intrepid explorers on their high-altitude quests. Recognizing that the materials comprising outdoor equipment possess remarkable durability, we saw an opportunity. Though these materials could harm the environment if left to degrade into microplastics, they also offer potential for redemption through recycling and repurposing. Inspired by Gandhi’s timeless words, “be the change you want to see in the world,” we resolved to embody this ethos.
Our journey began not amidst the towering Himalayan peaks, but amidst the revelry of music festivals. Here, amidst the discarded remnants of camping adventures, we found our classroom for upcycling education.
Armed with determination, we embarked on our mission. In a single summer, we amassed over a metric ton of outdoor waste—a testament to the magnitude of our cause. Under the banner of RVRT (formerly known as Pacha Outdoors), we undertook the monumental task of cleaning up four major festivals in 2023: Sumol Summer Fest, Super Bock Super Rock, Boom Festival, and MEO Sudoeste.
With the raw materials in hand, we stood at the precipice of a new chapter. Our focus shifted towards transforming this waste into something extraordinary.
As we stand on the threshold of possibility, we invite you to join us in this exhilarating journey of transformation. Together, let us turn the refuse of our past adventures into the seeds of a more responsible future. With each upcycled creation, we breathe new life into forgotten materials and redefine the boundaries of environmental stewardship. The mountains await, not as conquerors, but as custodians of their timeless beauty.
